Role of refuge on dynamics of prey-predator model with infected prey

Abstract

The paper deals with a prey predator model with infection and refuge in prey. It is assumed that the 8 predator is predating on both susceptible and infected prey. We have considered two models, one without refuge 9 and another with refuge. We have studied local stability, bifurcation and permanence of both models. Further, the 10 dynamics of the system is studied numerically on the basis of interaction rate of prey - predator (β) and refuge 11 size (m). The study reveals that refuge sizes of susceptible and infected prey are key parameters that control the 12 dynamics of the system.
