On the efficiency of collocation method for solution of the Falkner-Skan boundary-layer equation

Abstract


The current paper investigates a differential equation which has several applications in various areas of physics and engineering. In this paper some collocation methods have been implemented for solving the Falkner–Skan equation. Difficulties in finding the approximate solution of the problem are described and some modifications are proposed to overcome them. To see the efficiency of the presented methods some illustrative examples are given.
