Solving 4D transportation problem using the particle swarm optimization algorithm

Abstract


This research deals with the problem of four-dimensional transportation in the General Company for Food Stuff Trading because of its great role in managing the transportation process. The transportation problem of the four-dimensional of the different demand centers, the different supply centers, the distribution line, and the various means of transportation was solved using the particle swarm optimization algorithm using the coding formula via the MATLAB program. The goal of choosing a particle swarm optimization algorithm is computationally inexpensive, in addition, it is an effective method for many optimization problems and to find the best solution among a huge number of possible solutions.
