Statement on the Use of GenAI
Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)
The journal recognizes that generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools (such as large language models and AI-assisted writing or data analysis tools) may be used responsibly to support scholarly work. However, their use must comply with established standards of academic integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Authors’ Responsibilities
GenAI tools may be used only as supportive tools, for example, to improve language clarity, grammar, or readability.
GenAI tools must not be listed as authors, as they cannot take responsibility for the content, originality, or ethical standards of a manuscript.
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, validity, and integrity of all content, including any material assisted by GenAI.
The use of GenAI tools for generating research ideas, mathematical proofs, results, data, images, or references without proper human verification is not permitted.
If GenAI tools are used in manuscript preparation, authors should clearly disclose their use in the manuscript (e.g., in the acknowledgements or a dedicated disclosure section), specifying the tool and its purpose.
Editorial and Peer Review Process
Editors and reviewers must not use GenAI tools in ways that compromise the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
GenAI tools must not be used to evaluate manuscripts, make editorial decisions, or replace expert peer review.
All editorial decisions are made by human editors based on scholarly merit and peer-review reports.
Ethical Compliance
The journal may use appropriate tools to detect plagiarism, fabricated content, or unethical use of GenAI. Manuscripts found to violate this policy may be rejected or retracted in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics.
