Some applications of fixed point theorems
Abstract
In this paper, it is shown that the fixed point theory yields result of best approximation and best approximation yields the variational inequality result. The variational inequality yields fixed point theory. It is also shown that the fixed point theory is equivalent to maximal elements in mathematical economics. In the end, a couple of results are proved extending earlier ones.
