Call for Papers

Cancer,HIV/AIDS,tuberculosis, pandemic influenza,HBV and other related diseases deeply threaten human life and health. Researchers are collecting a variety of useful information from medical data to treat these diseases using effective control  strategy.  Such endeavor is also effective for biological systems.  The objective of this special issue is to report the recent research advances on information and control  in biology and medicine, especially on the above mentioned topics. We cordially invite investigators to contribute their original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate to interpret and understand the dynamics of the biological control systems as well as the related problems. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Analysis of Biomedical Systems: Solutions of Equations

• Synthesis of Biomedical Systems: Simulations

• Special Medical Data Processing Methods

• Medical Informatics as well as Bioinformatics

• Optimal control in Biology and Medicine

• Feedback control in biological systems

The combination of quantitative and qualitative research is the development trend of biomedical research in recent years, which has made remarkable progress in microbial culture, epidemiology, infection and immune, neuroscience, medical imaging, and so forth. The objective of this special issue is to report the recent research advances on mathematical models and simulations in biology and medicine, especially on the above mentioned topics. We cordially invite investigators to contribute their original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate to interpret and understand the corresponding mechanism as well as the related aspects. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

Modeling and Control Problems in Viral Dynamics

 

The last decade has witnessed the birth of a new movement of interest and research in the study of virus dynamics, such as dynamic behaviors of viral infection model with drug therapy in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B virus(HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), Avian influenza virus , dengue virus and Ebola virus had made important results. The objective of this special issue is to report the recent research advances on the modeling and control problems in viral dynamics, especially on the above mentioned topics. We cordially invite investigators to contribute their original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate to interpret and understand the dynamics of modelling viral infection and drug treatment as well as the related problems. Dynamic Systems in Mathematical Biology

 

Call for Papers

Mathematical biology is an interdisciplinary scientific research field with a wide range of applications in biology, biotechnology, medicine, and so forth. It aims at the mathematical representation, modeling of biological processes, and dynamic analysis, using a variety of applied mathematical techniques and tools. The objective of this special issue is to report the recent research advances on dynamical systems in mathematical biology. The topics include population dynamics, mathematical epidemiology, evolutionary dynamics, and molecular dynamics. We cordially invite investigators to contribute their original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate to interpret and understand the generation, properties, and application of dynamics of the biological systems as well as the related problems. The mathematical techniques not only are devoted to the search for mathematical analysis of the underlying differential dynamic systems but also include new theoretical developments suitable for novel applications of solving real-world problems. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Ecological modeling and methods

• Mathematical epidemiology

• Microorganism dynamics and biochemical reaction model

• Modeling and analysis of population dynamics
