Some new fixed point theorems of rational type contraction with an application to coupled fixed point theory

Abstract


The aim of this article is to present several new theorems related to fixed points by considering a rational-type contractive condition on the mapping A, in the context of complete b-metric spaces. Our results extend and improve many earlier theorems in the literature. As an application, coupled fixed point results are given in the same framework. Furthermore, to demonstrate the practical applicability of the results obtained, a few examples are showcased.
