Mathematical analysis of an age-structured viral infection model with latency and general incidence rate
Abstract
In this paper, we develop an age-structured viral infection model with latency age, infection age and general incidence rate. The developed model is formulated by ordinary and partial differential equations. The well posedness and the existence of equilibria are rigorously investigated. Moreover, the qualitative properties including uniform persistence, local stability of equilibria as well as the global behavior of the model are fully established.
