Abstract

We consider the construction of a class of sixth and tenth order block hybrid top order methods (BhTOMs). Derivation of the methods was based on the use of power series polynomial as basis function. This approach provides continuous interpolants for dense output (approximations). The suggested block hybrid approach eliminates requirement for starting values, it also reduced computational effort. Stability properties of the methods were investigated and found to have good stability regions suitable for stiff system of ODE’s.
