Abstract

An investigation into the unsteady boundary layer flow past a vertical plate in the presence of transverse magnetic field and heat source embedded in a porous medium has been studied. The governing differential equation was transformed using suitable dimensionless parameters. The dimensionless equations were solved employing the Laplace transform techniques and results illustrated graphically for the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles as well as the Skin friction, Sherwood number and Nusselt number. The study concluded that all the controlling parameters had effects on the flow and can be used to control the flow kinematics.
