Abstract

Jordan Exchange is a method for solving a given system of m linear equations in n unknowns by exchanging the roles of the dependent and independent variables. In this paper we give a new twist to the Jordan Exchange method and call the resulting technique modified Jordan Exchange method. Using this new technique we give different proofs for certain pertinent results concerning simplex method of linear programming. Further we present several illustrations in the Appendix section to eluidate the arising intricacies of the method.
