Primitive left ample semigroups

Abstract

A left adequate semigroup is called left ample if for any $e\in E(S), a\in S$, $ae=(ae)^\dag a$. Inverse semigroups are left ample semigroups. In this paper we study primitive left ample semigroups. The structure theorem of primitive left ample semigroups with certain conditions is established.
