Some characterizations of amenable semigroups

Abstract

In this paper, we give a survey of some known results on amenable semigroups with different characterizations using some classes of semigroups which include right stationary semigroups, cancellative semigroups, inverse semigroups, finitely generated semigroups, Clifford $\omega$-semigroups and inverse $\omega$- semigroups.
