Global stability analysis of a new multiscale HBV model with therapy

Abstract

This paper discusses the viral dynamics of hepatitis B virus with a new multi-scale model. The model studies the interaction between hepatitis B virus (HBV) and liver cells (hepatocytes) with the presence of two types of therapy. The first represents the efficacy of the treatment drug in preventing new infections, while the second represents the efficacy of the drug treatment in inhibiting viral production. The equilibrium points of the model are well defined, their global stability has been studied and the basic reproduction rate has been calculated. Finally, numerical simulations are established to confirm our theoretical results.
